Campus reflections
CAMPUS REFLECTIONS 1
Come of think of it, as a campus student of one university, polytechnic, college of education or the other, where would you start from if asked to reflect on campus happenings or events. Well…that’s the kind of situation I find myself in right now. But then let’s start from somewhere very important and which is now the order of the day.
My stay in the campus world has made me do some facts and calculations and made me sum up to the conclusion that the campus fashion is just but a circle. It keeps revolving and going back to the starting point. I made this conclusion the day I saw a lady completing her dressing with turban. I didn’t take much of it until I heard that’s the latest style now. I was like haba! The thing wey SU sef no fit to tie na the latest fashion…haaa…things are happening in the fashion world. Well…dats the good side sef, we gat gists at the other side of the gutter….lets meet there…
Hmmmm…..this is something we need to really be sober about. There are times when I see some ladies and I get so irritated to even give a second glance, their skirt or gown is so short, and to worsen it, the legs are not even nice enough to be exposed; I just disgustingly turn my head and shake my head. I really don’t blame them, the devil keeps putting the love of all these in your heart even when you are not convenient in them. Abi please wont you reason with me to say this is not of the ordinary, you wear heels high enough to make your ankles form 90degree, you are silently crying in your heart and enduring the pain, you wear a skirt that to walk is a puzzle to be solved. Then you have to slit it so you would be able to walk probably to the extent that if you dare bend pere like this, na bombom we go dey see. Please what’s now the essence of dressing.
Come now and let us reason together…. We’ve got to stop allowing the devil try styles out on our body. We really don’t have to go to the extent of making ourselves uncomfortable. Those terrible heels do not add to your beauty and neither does it make you more attractive. The guy you are wearing it for is so comfortable in his trouser and flat shoes, then why kill yourself. Why don’t you be a lady people will respect for her dressing, be a lady that will portray the real reason for dressing, be a lady that the devil clears from the road from cos he knows this one has principles, and lastly be a lady of modesty, decency and virtue and stop the chance of some useless boys calling you like a dog.
