I Want my freedom

I WANT MY FREEDOM
“When will I get delivered from her claws, when will she leave me alone, hen! I cannot continue to live my life like this o. abi wetin apn. I cannot buy cloth for myself, she has to go and buy extra larges for me. I cannot even make decision for myself. My mates have gotten more matured than I am. When will I be free? Everybody calls me a baby, because it’s always mummy this, mummy that. Arrrrrrrgh, this is really frustrating. I just hope UI answers me on time and gives me admission, they will hardly even see me in this house. Mtchhew.”

This is a typical 21st century lady, pouring out her troubles in the little corner of her room. I am sure most of us passed through this stage, and maybe some are still passing through the stage. Well, if u didn’t, I did. And God found me before it got too late for me. I really wish I could get a definite definition for that liberty you crave.
When this lady got to the university, she did exactly what she said she would. Her mumsy in the fellowship is already tired of her. Now she has her liberty, she could wear what she wants. Heads turn when she passes, girls shake their head when they see her, boys cannot control themselves on sighting her. She has become a sight to behold. Several times had she been sent out of the class, because of her provocative dressing. Wow, what liberty!

After three meaningless stay on campus, she eventually came to her senses. You want to know why it’s meaningless. She wants to belong. She doesn’t want to be the SU mummy girl, so she has to be classy enough. She goes to all kinds of parties, drinks and sometimes smokes, because she just had to belong. Haha, isn’t this the liberty I want, let me enjoy jare.
She’s not even bothered with her result, haha, where chief is, where that banker boy is. In fact she presently has close to 500, 000naira in her account. What are you saying again? She eventually graduated with a pass. She became old to her guys. They dumped her in search of another greener pasture. Now, she remembers she has parents.

She came to them for help in getting a job, that’s after asking for forgiveness. You know they have to forgive nooni. But please o, which kin job she go find with a pass. After five long years of fruitless search and 5000naira per month job, she then started regretting all the lost years.
This is a fiction, but it is a reality. Why will you wait until your life is destroyed before you make a u-turn? There is no liberty outside Christ. Don’t take solace in partying, drinking and smoking, fornicating and getting high and think that’s the solution for the peace you seek. Make a u-turn to God now, and experience a long lasting peace, the greatest liberty, and an unending joy.
