My experience in a public transport
MY EXPERIENCE IN A PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Together we flagged down a bus at Ekiti state going to Oyo state. Screeching to a halt, we decided to take a good view of this bus. It looks like a bus that won’t last more than 30mins on the road, but when we looked at the time and the necessity of getting to Oyo state that evening, we looked over the ruggedness and took a look at the passengers. Lo and behold, staring at us, with clear and bright eyeballs are about 11 hefty, dark and rugged looking men with not a single woman.
The alarm in my head started ringing, hen!! If you enter Tolu, OYO is your case. But my partner don enter already. She entered before she noticed, she con dey spread eyes. I was already calculating my steps backward when I suddenly remembered it was already getting late. And the possibility of getting another vehicle is very slim. At this point the passengers already understood the reason behind the reluctance, they all burst out laughing. At this point, my fears grew because it was like they all have a kind of connection.
Eventually, I entered and the journey started. Inwardly I had a lot of thoughts. I thought of the possibility of someone strangling me to death from the back, I thought of the possibility of the vehicle entering a bush. But immediately my partner started to pray and preach; my fears dissipated. I suddenly developed this boldness I couldn’t explain. I then understood the power in the gospel.
Now my advice to all, don’t ever let the devil to cajole you into some series of fear. He is watching out for that Christian that would be intimidated at the slightest chance. As much as it’s needed for one to be careful, it is as much needed to stand up to some situations by faith. Therefore, go out there and tell that challenge weighing you down to cease its power over you. And you will see the power in the gospel.
