Pause before judging them!!
PAUSE BEFORE JUDGING THEM
‘Hii, how are you doing? It’s really been a while o, are you sure you didn’t travel out of the country?’
‘Hi’ she simply replies and walks past.
Soliloquizing: ‘what!!! I am sure she heard all my questions, what an insult! No wonder people keep saying she doesn’t know how to greet. What sort of girl is this one? If I hear say I greet her when next I see her.’
I am sure most of us have been faced with this kind of situation one time or the other. Or maybe you are even part of those that just walk past without a hello. Have we ever taken the time to find out the reason why some people are always moody, sad and into themselves. It doesn’t help discussing them all around or castigating them, it helps when we study them, know what’s wrong and then try to help them. Well, I am going to release some hints as to some causes of this actions. It will certainly not apply to all but at least to some.
I read something that talked about the unconscious and the subconscious. It says that human beings tend to store instinctively all their negative and bad experiences in the unconscious. These things are the driving force behind their actions. Some people are victims of rape, assaults, child abuse, broken homes, lost of parents, poverty etc. They are daily faced with a reminder of their past or present, thus affecting their relationship with people. Some people who have inferiority complex believe that they are less than a normal human being because of what they are facing.
So, take some time to get close to that person coming to your mind right now, be trust worthy enough that the person would be able to share his/her problems with you and then help out in the best way you can.
