TO YOU
I couldn’t have written this for anyone else, just so you know. You might have made me annoyed sometimes by your incessant disturbance, Your constant visits could sometimes be very tiring, Your words sometimes could be like painful arrows, your demands sometimes could be quite burdensome.
But,
I have come to discover, that the closer you are to a friend, the more these are expected.
Your encouragements, prayer, words are treasure to me. You talk to me as things really are. Your desire to always make me happy, satisfied is overwhelming even at times when I know I do not deserve it. Your love and care is really special. I have watched you and I have studied you to know that a generous sister like you is really hard to find. You could be a baby most times but I love it because it brings out the playful you.
The confidence I have running to you for advice and knowing someone watches over you. You are really a special girl.
I don’t know why I am writing correct English for you o. I don’t want you calling me a local ekiti girl today (annoying things niyen o)
Please accept this short poem I have composed for you. Don’t mind the scattered rhyme scheme o, sleep dey my eyes.

A blessing to many
A gem to the world

I may have given you some tough times
We may have had the biggest fights and arguments
But I still treasure the friendship I have with you

To not say much
I simply wish you the very best of God’s blessing
May today mark an always express open door into heaven for you
may gods promises and desires for you all be fulfilled
and may you be who he wants you to be
a blessing to this generation..
a star to be reckoned with
and most of all, a saint to be remembered.
